Happy Lantern Festival

Following the Spring Festival, the Lantern Festival is one of the most important traditional festivals in China. Celebrated on the 15th day of the first lunar month, it features the first full moon of the new year, symbolizing reunion, happiness, and a promising new start.
The Lantern Festival is a time for family reunion. Streets are decorated with colorful lanterns. People gather to admire the lanterns and solve riddles, enjoying a joyful and warm atmosphere while wishing for family unity, peace and happiness.
The most iconic food for the festival is tangyuan — glutinous rice balls. Their round shape represents family togetherness and harmony, bringing warmth to the festival.
